Melissa Aylstock is a perceptive and witty writer
whose love for youth and the gospel shines through her words. I look
forward to many, many more of her novels!
I just have to say that I really enjoy your writing style. I
absolutely love to read and I especially like it when I can feel what
the character is going through. I felt like I could really feel the
chemistry between Cameron and Lauren. Especially that part when he is
under the car and she is on standing above him and he grabs her ankle. I
think we have all been in a situation where we didn't know what to do
next - and impulse took over. I really thought your description of that
interaction was wonderfully intense and intimate for two young people.
Thanks. I can't wait for the sequel and more fun moments like that.
Happy writing!

As a profession, I sell books to school libraries, so I have to stay in
touch with what the kids will read. I can tell you this will be a hit.
It reads at the right pace and interest stays high. The book is fun and
entertaining, as well as touching. The characters are real and the
reader can identify with the situations that arrive. When you meet
Cameron, you empathize with where he is coming from. His life isn't
easy, but you sense deep character behind the rough exterior. Lauren is
bold and sassy. She is someone you immediately want as your friend. No
wonder Cameron wants something more.

Melissa Aylstock has a way of of pulling you into a young man's world
in the first few pages- How marvelous to see things through his eyes, as
he comes to see things as they really are.

I loved this book! Even though A LOT happens in a few days, nothing
seemed forced or phoney. CTR's Ring is an easy book to get caught up in!
- Hayley Boberg, age 18
Reading CTR’s Ring was a joy. I feel certain is
will be well received by LDS youth and others who enjoy fiction laced
with gospel truths. The characters are fun and bright and accurately
reflect some of today’s concerns and challenges. I especially enjoyed
reading about an area in which I live; I felt like I was right at Mel's
Diner, slurping a chocolate malt, and spying in on the characters. Well
done!

My 19 year old daughter, Chelsea, and I both read your book in record
time. As a new convert, (albeit, a 20 year active non-member!) the
contents were refreshing and open minded. Chelsea enjoyed the local
references that you used throughout the book.
We look forward to your next novel.
